On our memo board in the Berlin Fightplace studio, it reads: “Mika – 8 fights = 8 wins.”
Moe, who passes that board regularly, has been bothered by that note for quite some time. Mika, who has been fighting at Fightplace for a while now, tends to keep a low profile. His schedule is usually packed, so he doesn’t show up to fight very often. But Moe has repeatedly tried to catch the still-undefeated fighter. Now he has finally succeeded.

The two have faced each other before and Moe lost that match. But in the meantime, Moe has improved significantly. He now believes he has a real chance against Mika and wants to put an end to his winning streak once and for all.

Under a small pretext, Moe manages to lure Mika to the club. He suggests practicing the weigh-in that normally takes place before an official match. When Mika arrives, Moe has already warmed up with a weight-training session. He briefly explains that he wants to rehearse the weigh-in and the intense face-off that comes with it. Everything goes according to Moe’s plan. They step into the fight room, strip down to their underwear, and go through the weigh-in procedure. Standing head to head, staring deep into each other’s eyes, neither of them can suppress their fighting spirit any longer. They hit the mats.

And this fight lacks nothing. It turns into the toughest match of 2023 so far. We see a different side of Mika here. Normally calm and soft-spoken, he is pushed to his limits by Moe. He has to take a lot of punishment and grows visibly angry - because he refuses to lose, especially not to a lightweight.

This extremely sweat-soaked clash is intense, thrilling, and shows aspects you rarely see in “normal” wrestling. The fight is wild, real, and still undeniably sexy.
