Jermaine faces Barney in his very first fight. As we quickly discovered during the match, it turns out to be a very good and well-matched pairing. For fans of the submission style, this fight delivers everything they could hope for. From the very beginning, both men go at each other hard.

Barney has learned many tricks during his years at Fightplace, and in the early rounds he scores several points with impressive scissors holds. At first it looks like Barney might take the win, because Jermaine initially has little to counter his opponent’s powerful leg scissors and struggles to free himself from the painful holds.

But after a few rounds, Jermaine begins to understand how to counter them. Once he realizes that he actually has a good chance against the more experienced Barney, he really steps things up and gives everything he has. From that moment on, things start to look worse and worse for Barney. Jermaine practically ties him into knots and puts him into seemingly hopeless positions.

Barney eventually has no choice but to resort to some dirty tricks, such as ball grabs, to break free. But Jermaine can take quite a lot – pain doesn’t seem to bother him much. Bad news for Barney.

We were also surprised by how many techniques the newcomer already has in his arsenal. He clearly knows how to use his entire body effectively during a match. Jermaine told us that he is a huge wrestling fan and that he learned many of his moves by watching wrestling on TV.

All in all, he’s a lanky, good-looking guy who also knows exactly what he’s doing on the mat. We’re sure you’re going to like him – we promise! 💪
