Ok; in competitive matches the hold is fully released and opponents restart in neutral position. In all my years of bjj I have never had an opponent keep a hold on he would be disqualified- this is more role play than competitive.

I’m sure they are safe and sane; i’ve chatted with Alex before in hopes of a match. I just noticed after the tap they didn’t restart in a neutral position and left the hold on. The title of the match is competitive, so I was expecting a release.
