Mixed Boxing MB50 - Counterpunch! Felicia vs Sam Stout VI
5 rounds of intense, action packed back and forth mixed boxing that mixes boxing fundamentals and more technical elements of the sweet science with raw energy and cinematic flair between two rivals looking to knock each other out.
Round 1 --
A tense warmup round where both fighters are probing each other's defenses and reflexes. Sam is carefully keeping a distance, and uses his weight and muscle to bully Felicia away if she gets too close, keeping her at just the right range where he can hit her, but she can't reach him. Sam corners Felicia multiple times, but pays for it when he drops his guard.
Round 2 --
Sam is looking fired up and Felicia a little dazed. Right at the bell the action explodes. Sam is on the offensive and headhunting, while Felicia is on the back foot, dodging and evading. Felicia counterpunches Sam's big swings and presses the offense. Sam blocks, parries and escapes the corner, while Felicia stalks after. She lands a counter punch to his blind spot, stunning him. The pace is in Felicia's favor as she keeps dodging Sam's wide swings, eventually overwhelming his defense and landing clean counters. Sam is taking a lot of hits this round, but he can still give as good as he gets, and after multiple explosive exchanges, Sam scores the first knockdown of the fight. Felicia hits the mat, but is saved by the bell.
Round 3 --
Both fighters are tired, but Felicia seems worse for wear. Sam is getting a bit banged up, but also fired up to make her pay. Sam rushes in again, taking some counters but not backing down. He manages to bully Felicia in to the ropes and lands some heavy combinations to the body to weaken her legs. The belly punishment Sam delivers is absolutely brutal, merciless, and continual. Felicia manages to slip in some punches, but is too winded to take full advantage. Miffed at Felicia's continual targeting of Sam's left eye, he continues to pound Felicia's guts with punches that look like his fist may go through her, or he might punch her through the ropes. Sam keeps picking Felicia back up to hang her over the ropes and continue pounding her, but soon she collapses to the canvas again, only to be saved by the bell at a 9 count.
Round 4 --
Sam seems to be having some trouble with his left eye, and is looking to finish things quick before Felicia can catch her breath. A huge straight blows Felicia right back in to her corner at the start of the round, and Sam is pummeling Felicia's guard as she turtles up. Quick, sharp combos from Sam are turning Felicia's arms red, but she weather's the storm and slowly circles out of the corner, Sam's punches slowing as he may have worn himself out, and Felicia fires a right counterpunch to Sam's left eye. This stuns him long enough for her to follow up, continually targeting his eye, angering Sam enough to throw wild swings, only to be counterpunched more. Sam is taking a lot more punishment this round, but isn't going down without a fight and always remains a powerful threat. A threat that lands a gut punch so hard, Felicia spits out her mouthpiece! Sam has the winded Felicia trapped in the corner, but she weathers the storm and once again focuses on that swelling left eye. Once again the two are going blow for blow, and this time it's Felicia that knocks Sam down to the canvas. This time, Sam manages to get to his feet at 8, and the bell saves him to end the round.
Round 5 -- and Spoilers
He's hurt! Sam's left eye is black and bruised, and nearly swollen shut. The bell rings and while both are exhausted, Felicia takes the initiative and pressures Sam in to the corner. He may be hurt, vulnerable, and on shaky legs, but Sam still packs a punch and Felicia can easily be KO'd if she's not careful. Both fighters are exhausted and beat up, but still trading punches and refuse to throw in the towel. Time slows down, and both move in to throw big right hands, and crash in to each other's faces simultaneously! It's a Cross-Counter double KO! Felicia may have been counter punching Sam for most of the match, but Sam's cross counter evens the odds, as both fighters collapse in a slow motion heap on top of each other. But after a short while, it's Felicia who stirs first while it's still lights out for Sam Stout. Felicia mounts Sam for a short victory pose, then collapses in a heap once again.
