Wladimir and Bob vs. Patti and Toni

In “Heavyweight Heroes,” we present a reunion with some familiar faces. Patti may have taken a few years off, but during that time he spent plenty of hours in the gym. The bodybuilder approached us asking for a match against Wladi, eager to prove his power against the still undefeated Fightplace powerhouse.

Since we couldn’t fully estimate how strong Patti had become during his break, we decided to organize a tag-team match to make things a bit more balanced for him. In a tag-team fight, there is always the chance to catch a quick breather while your partner is in the ring.

To keep the teams on roughly the same level, we invited Toni and Bob to join the match. As Patti and Toni already knew each other from earlier Fightplace years, they decided to form a team. Wladi, on the other hand, hadn’t fought for a while either. The crazy power boy was still in great shape, but he did show a few moments of weakness when facing Patti. Patti brought clever tricks, impressive strength, and an unbreakable will to win – a dangerous combination for Wladi. Whenever Patti was in the ring with him, Wladi had to push himself to the limit. And, as much can be revealed: he didn’t always manage to keep the upper hand.

Whenever frustration got the better of him, Wladi seemed to take it out on Toni. The wiry fighter had to endure quite a lot. His briefs were torn apart already in one of the early rounds, and anyone who believes Wladi would stop there clearly doesn’t know him very well. No one would want to trade places with Toni when he’s facing Wladi.

The tag-team match was great fun for both the fighters and the spectators. It demanded everything from the competitors, yet you could clearly see that they were enjoying themselves. Especially Wladimir, who once again had the chance to unleash his wild side. At one point he even grabbed a bottle lying around and used it in rather creative ways against an opponent, or secretly carried out some questionable moves behind the ropes. More than once the fighter lying on the mat suddenly found Wladi’s feet planted right in his face. That’s just the way Wladi is.

Bob, fighting alongside Wladi, also delivered an outstanding performance and proved that even a relatively new and young fighter can belong to the elite. This match clearly shows the remarkable development Bob has made during his Fightplace career – from a shy and hesitant newcomer to a tough, battle-hardened fighter.

Surprisingly, the result was not nearly as one-sided as expected. For a while the score stood at 1–1, then 2–1, 2–2, until the final decision was eventually made. Much of that was thanks to Patti, who made it extremely difficult for Wladi to secure quick and decisive victories.

Because of the length of the match (around 90 minutes in total), we decided to split it into two parts of about 45 minutes each.
